Genuine Community News

Editorial policy

Genuine Community News aims to make its writing clear, careful and useful without pretending that one account speaks for every place. We distinguish what a piece explains from what it recommends, and we welcome readers who point out an error or missing distinction.

Accuracy and scope

We check names, wording and factual claims before publication and make the limits of a piece clear. We do not present general ideas as rules that fit every community, and we avoid claims that require professional, official or local-rule checking to act on safely.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material will be clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can tell it apart from editorial coverage. Partner placements across the site will also be identified as such.

Corrections

If something is wrong or unclear, contact us with the article title and the passage in question. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, amend the text and explain the correction in context rather than leaving a known error unaddressed.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be AI-generated. Where relevant, we will identify this clearly; an illustration is not evidence that a depicted event or place is real.
